IAPT Wellbeing Teams

The Changing Minds IAPT Wellbeing Teams provide an innovative and person centered service for individuals in Northamptonshire, who may be at risk of or who are experiencing a period of mental distress.

IAPT stands for Increasing Access to Psychological Therapies and is a nationwide government funded initiative to improve the availability of psychological therapies for people with anxiety and depression in primary care. The IAPT Wellbeing Service is based on the Stepped Care Model approach as outlined in the National Institute for Clinical Excellence's (NICE) guidelines for the treatment of anxiety and depression. CLICK HERE for more information.

Our IAPT Wellbeing staff aim to help people with a range of common mental health problems appropriate for Steps 2 and 3 of the Stepped Care Model. More details on what these steps mean, including typical presenting problems and recommended methods of helping people is available on the national IAPT website. CLICK HERE for more information.

Our teams are made up of individuals who truly care and understand what it feels like to be in such distress.

Their aim is to guide individuals through the wealth of information, resources and support that is available and present them with choices that will help enable them to make positive lifestyle changes for better mental well being.

The Wellbeing Teams can discuss other services that are available such as Learn2b and Peer Support which can work together to help you in your recovery journey.
